Holy crap, its been 4 months! O_O How on earth did that happen?! Anyway, i'm still alive and well, and my re-emergence back on the internet today has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that the 24 Season 6 trailer is premiering online tomorrow. Nothing at all, I promise :P
How is everyone? ♥ I've missed you all! I've been pretty swamped with Uni work and other things so that's why I haven't been around all that much. I've only been checking my f-list from time to time so i've probably missed so much. But the good news is, i've naturally still been watching lots of tv :P
Sports Night is officially the coolest show on the planet :D No seriously. I'm completely in love! I managed to track down the first season and I got through it in a couple of days because I didn't want to stop watching! It was weird at first seeing Nate Fisher and Lynette Scavo on screen together, but after a few episodes I had completely fallen in love with them as Casey and Dana... not to mention the rest of the cast as well ♥ Every single member of the ensemble is completely adorable and I cant get over how great the show is :) I've rewatched the "neighbourhood park all covered with cheese" scene at the beginning of 1x15 SOOOO many times and I laugh my head off every single time. I want to see season 2!
And not only that, but a few days ago I found The West Wing for about a quarter of its normal price... so I gave up whining that I needed to rent it, and just bought Season 1 even though I had never seen a single episode! I've only seen 6 episodes so far, but to be truthful, I was hooked from the Pilot ♥ Everything about it just worked, and i'm seriously having the same problem that I had with Sports Night... I cant decide on a favorite character! They're all so good! Josh was always going to be a favorite because I was already just a little bit in love with him because of Studio 60, but I adore all of them! Toby intrigues me for some reason, probably because we don't know much about him (yet) and he's so guarded. And of course Leo ♥
lostonbroadway, who were your favorites?
EDIT: Ok, make that 14 episodes and add CJ and Bartlet to my list of favorite characters :P Oh yes, and now i'm completely hooked! (and for some reason very in love with Toby ♥ I think it was the episode with the homeless Veteran (who died on the park bench) that did it.)
Ok, I need to stop rambling about tv shows now :)
In other news...
♥I finally gave in to my sister's (5-year-long) pestering and started reading the Harry Potter books, and now, of course, i'm completely hooked. Severus Snape is quite possibly the most interesting character of all TIME. Hence the new FriendsOnly banner... and default icon... ;)
♥ I turned 21 last week which is quite scary considering my much younger sister remains much taller than me ;)
♥ DAVID MORSE IS GOING TO BE ON HOUSE! I adore him, he's such an underrated actor.
Although, Chicago Hope fans, has anyone else noticed the SLIGHT similarities between where this House storyline is going and the season 1 finale of Chicago Hope? Lets compare: **SPOILERS for upcoming episodes of House**
In Chicago Hope, Geiger goes on trial to determine whether he is mentally fit to practice medicine. It all hinges on the testimony of Geri, a female co-worker. And in upcoming episodes of House, House goes on trial, and it all hinges on the testimony of one female co-worker who may be either Cuddy or Cameron. *scratches head* What was I saying last year about House being Jeffrey Geiger with a limp? ;)
Anyway, I just wanted to check in and squee a little about Sorkin :)
Hope everyone's doing well!
P.S. Everyone has seen 'The Departed', right? If not, shame on you!! :P honeyfitz, have you seen it yet? What did you (or anyone else who's seen it) think? I've been a huge fan of Leo DiCaprio since Marvin's Room, Basketball Diaries and Gilbert Grape etc, so I was disappointed that Titanic made him the biggest 'teen heartthrob' on the planet. But I think he's slowly getting his credibility back in the eyes of the public and The Departed is going to do wonders for his career ♥ Yet another reason to love Marty Scorsese :P
